Lineup Rules
Each team can have up to 4 players.
Each team must have at least 3 players on their submitted roster.
A game can be played with 2-4 players. A one-player game will not count as a game.
4 players are allowed to be in the batting order.
You cannot change your batting order once the game has started.
Only three players are allowed to play in the field at a time including the pitcher.
Players are allowed to switch positions in the field. Players who are sitting out in the field can be substituted into the game at any time.
Pitchers can be taken out of the game at any time. They are allowed to return and pitch at any time also.
Pinch runners are not allowed unless a player is injured.
Bat Rules
Every bat that is used must be the official Wiffleball Company traditional yellow bat.
No metal bats are allowed.
Bats are allowed to have decorations colored or spray painted onto them.
Tape can be placed on the handle of the bat only.
No other objects can be placed on a bat to add weight.
You are not allowed to put objects inside of the bat.
Ball Rules
You are not allowed to place dents or disfigure the ball in any way.
Balls must be the official white Wiffleball Company balls.
You are not allowed to change the colors of the ball with spray paint or other decorative. It must stay its original white color.
No objects can be placed in the interior or on the exterior of the ball.
Field Rules
Every field must have foul lines and home run lines.
Fences can be used on the fields.
The length of bases and the length from home plate to the home run line/fence must be at a reasonable length.
Every field must have a strike zone so there will be no arguing.
The strike zone must be the same length and width for all fields.
The pitching mound length has to be between 36 feet 4 inches and 40 feet 2 inches from the pitching mound to the strike zone.
Balls that hit trees or other objects that may be in the field will be in play and can be caught for an out or however the owner of the field wants to play it.
Balls that hit trees or other object objects in foul territory cannot be caught for an out.
Strike and Ball Rules
A strikeout consists of three strikes.
A walk consists of eight balls.
A pitch that hits the hands of a batter while holding the bat is a strike.
A ball that hits the batter directly after the ball is hit is a foul ball.
A controversial check swing call will be ruled a re-due.
Base running Rules
Leading is not allowed.
Runners caught leading off can be thrown out, but they are not allowed to advance to the next base if they are caught in a pickle.
Runners who illegally get caught leading off cannot advance on overthrown balls that are thrown as an attempt to pick the runner off.
Runners who are pegged (hit) with the ball while running are out.
Balls that roll over a base or in a circle, which is required of all fields to have, count as an out on force plays.
Balls that hit the base or whatever is used for a base count as an out on a force play.
A player who is running home on a play can be thrown out if the fielder throws the ball in the strike zone before the runner crosses the plate.
Ghost runners move at the same speed as the runner who hits the ball or the runner behind them.
Runners that are running home can not run back to third base after a fielder throws the ball home or after he crosses the required dash mark half way between third base and home plate.
Division Scheduling and Rules
There will be one division if five teams or less join the league.
If six or more teams join the league there will be two divisions set up with equal amounts of teams in it.
If two divisions are created the teams will be drawn to separate divisions.
Scheduling will be based on division, however there will be inter-league games during the middle of the season.
Division teams will play each other more frequently than they will play inter-league teams.
Playoff Rules
If there is only one division, if five or less teams join the league, the two teams with the worst records will be eliminated from the playoffs.
If there are two divisions, if six or more teams join the league, the playoff teams will be decided as following.
3 teams in a division = Team with worst record eliminated.
4-5 teams in a division = Two teams with the worst record eliminated.
5-7 teams in a division = Three teams with the worst record eliminated.
If there is an odd number of teams in a divisional playoff the team with the best record is awarded a first round bye where they will not have to play to advance to the next round.
If there is one division the first round games will be the best of 3 games and the Championship game will be the best of 5 games.
If there are two divisions the first round of the playoffs will be the best of 3 games, any other rounds prior to the inter-league Championship game will be the best of 5 games, and the Championship game will be the best of 7 games.
If there is one division in the league the team with the best record will have home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
If there are two divisions in the league the teams with the best records will have home field advantage throughout the playoffs until the Championship game where home field advantage is decided by the division that wins the All-star Game.
General Rules
Cleats are not allowed to be worn during play.
Fielding gloves are not allowed.
If a physical fight occurs during a game all players who participate in it will be applauded. The losers of the fights will be deemed "Nancies."
A game can be called for weather if 5 innings are completed.
The acceptable causes for a weather cancellation are heavy snow, heavy rain, thunder and/or lightning, and other extreme occurrences of weather/
Teams who refuse to play the complete 7 innings for any reason will receive a forfeit loss.
Games cannot be cancelled the day a game is supposed to occur unless there is a reasonable excuse. They must be cancelled at least 2 days prior to the schedule game.
Each game consists of 7 innings of 2 outs.
All teams must follow all the listed rules. No exceptions!
